American Shorthair/Tabby - Buff Mix: An adopted cat in Colmar, PA

Sandy (male buff tabby) and Pounce (female gray tabby), both born in September 2003, were adopted as kittens from Stray Cat Blues. In July 2010, their adopters regrettably had to return them to SCB because of their son's allergies. Pounce is a very gentle cat. Sandy likes his belly rubbed. They both love being brushed, especially Sandy on the top of his head. They are both fine getting their nails trimmed. Pounce has a heart murmur and is on heart medication, but she is easy to pill as she has been taking this medication since she was a kitten. (This medication is very inexpensive at approximately $3/month.)

As anyone can imagine, the change of home at this point in their lives is hard for them to understand. When they were first returned, Sandy was very hissy and Pounce just seemed sad and confused. Both are learning to accept this change in circumstances and to take it in stride. They are ready for their next adventure. They can be adopted singly or as a pair.

These wonderful cats need a real home; a home that will take care of them for the rest of their lives. They have plenty of life to live and plenty of love to give. As a kitten, Pounce was given a poor prognosis but here she still is almost seven years later. They are looking for that forever home that will accept them as they are and give them time to adjust.
