We think Justin is "just" what your family needs!!!
What am I? Justin is a one and a half year old (1/11) male golden retriever mix or collie mix or mystery mix???!!! We do know he is a very handsome dog with a red medium long coat, droopy ears and cute freckles on his nose. And his tail is not as long as it should be! Justin is very thin, weighing only 35 pounds but he needs to put a good 10 pounds on his frame. He was pulled from our local shelter where he had been picked up by Animal Control but no one came to claim him. Poor Justin is very timid at first and has not been socialized nearly enough. He was afraid to get in the car, did not know what to do on a leash and needs to get to know you before he warms up to you. But he made a lot of progress during the several weeks he was at the Shelter and will be well worth the effort to work with him. He is still very puppyish and somewhat mouthy so no home with young children, say 10 and under. He loves to play with other dogs and was curious about the cats at the vet. Justin will need some exercising but he is rather calm. He would do better in a household with a fenced yard than in an apartment setting. Justin is up to date with his vet care, neutered, and is heartworm negative. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. This sweet soul truly needs a good home to help him gain his confidence and learn to trust people so that he will blossom into the wonderful dog we know he can be!
