Elmo
Bunny Rabbit Mix: An adopted rabbit in Livermore, CA
Elmo is a young boy from the Martinez rescue. This photo was taken when he was about 6 weeks old. Now at 3 months, hes lived his entire life in safety. A bunny should, when possible, stay with their Mama, continuing to nurse, till they are 8 weeks old. Bunnies who are separated from their mothers earlier than 8 weeks often suffer from life long health problems. We want Elmo to be a strong and healthy boy, so we kept him. He's now neutered and ready for a home of his own.
Currently Elmo lives with his siblings. Hes always lived with a large number of bunnies, about a hundred!!! and so he would probably enjoy a long EARED friend. Of course ALL bunnies start their lives as part of a litter and know from the beginning the joys of a bunny friend! Rabbits are social animals and blossom in the company of a friend.
Most rabbits are happier and healthier when living as pairs. They snuggle together, groom each other, play...
