Meet Nellie - Adopted!!

Arrival story: Nellie came from a rural shelter.

Approximate age / weight: 8 months old (approx. DOB about 2-16-10) and weighs 30 lbs. The vet thinks she will be around 35-40lbs at maturity.

Personality: What a cutie! We're not sure what she's mixed with, but she's a beauty with striking facial markings. She is your all-around mutt! Nellie is a high-energy girl who loves to run and play. After a lot of exercise and fun, she then will settle down in your lap. She has a blast playing with other dogs, as long as the other dogs are okay with her high-contact style of play. Nellie attends doggie daycare and loves having fun all day with her other 4-Legged Friends. Nellie is a sweetheart who is full of energy and has a great personality. Anyone who meets her just falls in love!

Nellie keeps her crate clean when she is on a regular housetraining schedule and let out frequently enough. She also will bark when she has to go potty. Overall, she's good in her crate, as long as she is given toys and things to chew or mentally stimulate her.

Forever home: Nellie is looking for a family who will give her plenty of exercise and playtime so she can burn all of that puppy energy. She would love a doggy playmate, and she would do best in a home with a fenced yard to run in.

Puppies are cute, but please remember, they are a lot of work. Nellie will need training and socialization to ensure she grows into a well-mannered adult dog. She also needs a family who will promise to love and care for her her whole life.
