Here is an intial report directly from Sullivan's foster home.

First report on Sully: He is one fabulous dog! He's very respectful and friendly to my two cats. We went to the dog park yesterday. His recall was impeccable (I was completely impressed, to say the least). His interactions with dogs of all kind, size, and temperament was outstanding. he dominated once but a loud eek from me made him stop right away. He also loves kids. He did a bit of jumping up at first, but learned quickly that awesome things happen when he sits politely. First report on Sully: He is one fabulous dog! He's very respectful and friendly to my two cats. We went to the dog park yesterday. His recall was impeccable (I was completely impressed, to say the least). His interactions with dogs of all kind, size, and temperament was outstanding. he dominated once but a loud eek from me made him stop right away. He also loves kids. He did a bit of jumping up at first, but learned quickly that awesome things happen when he sits politely. It took him only two rounds to figure to wait by his kennel for his food (I feed him in the kennel). He is STOKED about the clicker and VERY smart. It took him no time to get the "leave it" command. He's very responsive to training and does his sits and downs fabulously. Right now, we're working on him waiting his turn when we go through doors and such.

I had no problem bathing him, brushing him, cleaning his ears, and brushing his teeth--but it all ended with me wanting to clip his nails. He didn't like that much.

Like most pitties, he is velcroed to my side and really, really craves praise and attention. He's VERY sensitive to loud "No's" and direct eye contact and stops instantly, hence his responsiveness to training. He is very treat-motivated, too. His leash walking is also excellent when he's on his gentle leader, which he tolerates.

He is essentially quiet in the kennel, eats in it, chews his bone in it, and goes in it right away for time outs. I just have to point at it. Like most pitties, he does not bark much. He can be trusted to be loose in the house when we are away too. He is completely housebroken and we had not a single incident in the house.

All in all, I'd describe Sully as confident, balanced, responsive to training, good with dogs, cats, people, and kids, very well socialized, very good natured, playful, intelligent, very loving, cuddly, and craving people attention.

Sullivan is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 to cover these costs.

Save-A-Bull Rescue is a foster based organization that relies solely on donations of others. All dogs that pass through this rescue are thoroughly temperament tested and it is felt that we have a firm grasp on their individual needs and personalities. Not only do we feel that our dogs are remarkable ambassadors of the breed, but we vow to blow the negative image of Pit Bulls out of the water with every new adoption.



Adoption fees for all dogs is $250. This covers their spay/neuter, full vaccines, heartworm test, microchip, and deworming.
