Kaiser Akita & Saint Bernard Mix Jackson, MS

I am not a pancake even though my head resembles one -- a little flat with blueberries and crumples or crumbles. I am an 18 month old St. Bernard/akita/husky/dalmation looking dog. The term liver refers to my facial coloring with a smoky gray and brown tint, clearly delineated. My face actually looks like a map covering the area from the east of South America, across the white surf of the Atlantic, onto the west of Africa. My body is all white with sprinklings of muted dots, like the dalmation and the dappled catahoula (state dog of Louisiana since 1970). Like my brother K.C., I have recently graduated from the Second Chance Pet Partner Program where we learn to act like good citizen type dogs who love families. Inmates who have been trained in dog obedience skills train us homeless dogs to be obedient and companionable and we graduate with flying colors and wagging tails. I have made quite a few friends while at the Program and I've had the time of my life getting to play with other good dogs who were carefully selected to be in this prestigious program. I am a lucky dog. Major Gardner says I am a love with other dogs and children. I am housetrained, neutered, trained in obedience, a team player, a companion dog, and free of heartworms, never having had those nasty critters. Great news--I have been adopted to a fine family with two kids and a mom and dad and they are wonderful. Not as great news--my brother K.C. still needs a good home. I will miss him.
