Chip was picked up stray by an animal control facility that was trying to accomodate 85 dogs from the house of a hoarder. The pound houses 11 dogs at a time. Chip was going to be put down to make room for the hoarder dogs.
We paired up with our rescue colleague Michelle at Bow Wow Rescue (http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/ON284.html) with some dogs from this shelter. Michelle has taken Chip into Bow Wow Rescue but any inquiries we receive will be passed on to her. All we know about Chip is that he is a very nice, pleasant and happy German Shepherd Dog - he appears to be a strong mix or single breed. Just before he was rescued, a family came forward that knew Chip when he was with his previous owners. He was tied up all his life but has been a nice, happy dog who is reportedly good with kids and cats. He loved riding in the car with our transport volunteer and has been laid back and friendly.
