Arrival story: Murphy's owners can no longer keep her and came to Waggin Tails hoping to find her another loving home.

Approximate age / weight: She is 6 years old and weighs 40 pounds.

Personality: Murphy is a beautiful, sweet girl. Her family has decided to re-home to her because they have a toddler and a new baby at home. The toddler, being a toddler, has begun antagonizing Murphy and Murphy is not very receptive of this. As a result, Murphy is spending a lot of time separated from the family. They feel it would be safer for their children and more humane for Murphy to find her a less stressful situation to live in.

While she has been around other dogs before and has played well with larger dogs, she does not like small dogs and is not good with cats. For the past 4 years Murphy has lived as an only dog, so we are not sure how she would take to a doggie companion.

Forever home: Murphy is use to having a physically fenced in yard, so we would like her new home to have one as well. Being a mostly obedient dog, already housebroken, Murphy will be a great addition to a family without cats or small children and a lot of time to spend with her. Does that describe you?

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $100 for senior dogs (9 years ), $275 for small breed dogs and $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
