8.1.2010 - EXCUSE ME. YES, I AM TALKING TO YOU. I see you peeking at me. You know you want to know more. Wellll, let me tell you some stuffs. My name is Wren and I am 16 months old. I have been in my foster home for a few weeks now and I am really learning the ropes. I go for a walk almost every morning and my foster mom laughs at me because I prance and wag my tail and look up at her with a smile. Mostly, she just ties the lead around her waist and off we go! I love all other dogs. I am somewhat timid with peoples but eventually warm up. I like to jump up and snuggle next to the peoples on the sofa in the evening. Hee hee, I am allowed to do that because I am only 40 pounds, small enough to get away with it. Plus, I really know how to give sad puppy eyes. I am mostly calm, except when I am let out of my kennel in the afternoon, then I bounce and pounce! I take treats gently and share my toys. I sometimes hide under the bed or behind a chair, and I dont always come when called. But I am learning to trust the peoples more and more every day. I have been hearing about 'forever homes' from the other foster kid in the house. I heard that there is a family out there who is looking for me. And that they have the love and time and cookies and love and a soft bed and love, all for me! Are you my forever family? Because if you are looking to adopt me and bring me home, I am ready to come to your house. I am a good girl like that. If you want to know more about me or see some more pictures, just send an email. Until next time...Love, Wren
7-4-10 WOO HOO! What a ride these last couple of weeks have been! I cant believe how great life is now! I have been in my foster home for a couple of weeks. Did you know some dogs got to live in a house? With a cozy bed to sleep on? And yummy noms to eat? With peoples who pet you? And dogs who play with you? Well, I didnt know that until two weeks ago! Life is freakin' awesome! I have been playing my heart out with my big brother boxer and my big sister boxer this week. Yes. They love me. Big brother boxer has taught me how to 'box' with my paws, except he says I do it wrong. He says I am only supposed to use one paw at a time. But my favorite way is to use BOTH paws at the same time. And sometimes take a flying leap into a people's arms. They always catch me, but sometimes we fall over together! Such FUN! Another good news is that I have taken all of my medicines! Yay me! My skin feels so much better, now if only those baths were over, but the peoples tell me I have a couple more weeks of those. Oh well, I guess I can be a good girl. I have only had one accident in the house, when I very first got here. It might take me a while to do my business outside, but if you give me some time, I promise I will. My peoples told me yesterday that it was time to learn manners. Big brother boxer said that was when the peoples tell you to do something then give you cookies. I cant wait to learn manners!!! Well, gotta go, big sister is looking at the cookie jar and the peoples are heading that way.
Until next time...Love, Wren
***************************************** HELLOOO EVERYBODYYY! My name is Wren and I am 14 months old and weigh 40 pounds and I am spayed and heartworm negative. I am itchy on my ears and neck because of the sarcoptic mange they tell me that I might have, but the vet couldnt be sure. So I am taking some medicine (*gross*) and getting lots of baths (*sigh*). I have been in my foster home for a couple of days and am trying to get used to all this new stuff. See, my former life wasnt very good and I spent most of my time in a cage. I am adjusting to being in a house and will have to learn all about potty training. I do my business when I am taken outside, but I dont know how to tell my foster mom when I need to go out. I really want to be with the other dogs, but I cant just yet. My foster mom says she thinks that once I am able to be with the other dogs in the house then I will calm down and not be as anxious. She also says that is when I will begin to learn my manners, whatever the heck those are. Right now I am unsure of most things, but I do like to be talked to and petted, I just dont stand still very long, soooo catch me if you can! I like to watch tv and look at myself in the mirror. There are balls and ropes and bones all over this crazy house but I dont yet know what to do with them, so I sniff them and move on. I am looking for a forever home with another dog who can be my friend. My foster mom says I will make a great pet one day because even though I have had a hard time in the past, my spirit is not broken and its good times from here on out! If you think you have some extra love for me, send me an email, I promise to respond! Until next time....Love, Wren
