Meet HANK

UPDATE: OCTOBER 10, 2010 - Hank will be staying in his foster home. It would be too hard to move him and it would devastate him to loose his foster mom and dad as he loves and adores them and is very bonded with Rene and Norma. Hank has been through too much in his life: being abandoned by his former owner and with his health issues, we feel this would the best for Hank.

UPDATE - We are happy to report that Hank is now in foster care. Thank you so much to Rene and Norma for becoming Hank's foster parents. Hank isn't quite ready for adoption yet. He needs to gain some much needed weight and we are working with Hank to build up his muscle mass. Hank came into our rescue very emaciated and his muscles were atrophied. We will post regular updates on Hank to let you know how he is doing and when he will be ready for adoption.

URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR - Update: June 7, 2010. We have moved Hank to a boarding facility in order to spare his life. Thank you so much Alexia for sponsoring Hank at the boarding facility. Your kindness and generosity have spared this precious boy's life.

We are still in urgent need of a foster home for Hank. Hank is a very confused and sad boy; he doesn't understand what happened to his life and is wondering where his "family" is. He waited and waited for someone to come and claim him at animal control, but for 20 days he sat there in a concrete cell and no one came.

Hank is a very sweet and loving boy. He is well mannered and seems to get along with other dog friendly dogs - big and small.. Hank is very emaciated and has some hind end weakness. It didn't help for him to be laying on a damp concrete floor for 20 days with no exercise. We are hoping a good diet, supplements and small walks will help to build his muscle mass.

This handsome boy is currently in an animal control facility with no where to go. We are desperately seeking a foster home for him as his life depends on it. He is a gentle old soul who deserves to live out his life and to know that he is loved and cherished.

Please send us an email at deannaaarfrescue@yahoo.ca if you are interested in providing a foster home. Time is critical; please don't delay.
