GiGi was a stray dog living in a park. A young lady saw him while she was walking her dogs and noticed that GiGi’s neck was tightened by a rubber band and she could see the blood coming from his neck. She was shocked and wondered how someone could do such a cruel thing. She wanted to help but GiGi was afraid of people; he kept running away while she approached him. The young lady had no choice but to just leave food for GiGi and asked for help online.

A dog rescuer from another city saw the message and came to help the next day. GiGi was too alert to be caught. It took the rescuer several hours to find GiGi and send him to the animal hospital. According to the diagnosis by a vet, the rubber band got stuck in the skin and that caused the infection plus some medical issues. Fortunately, it did not injure Gigi’s throat. The vet thoroughly cleaned the wounded area and then stitched it.

GiGi was well taken care of in the animal hospital for a month. He has completely recovered from the wound and received all the required vaccinations. GiGi received a lot of love from the vet, the staff as well as from a group of dog lovers.
