Meet Bob

How did I get to Pet Haven: I came in with my best friend Chica as a stray from a rural shelter in Iowa. I may have been a hunting dog that did not work out.
Hobbies: for now my hobby is looking handsome. I am sure more will develop as i gain more experiences.
Commands/Tricks: Bob seems to know sit, down, and “this way” but also is catching on to new things quickly.
Crate/Potty Trained: yes, no accidents, and goes in the crate without a fuss.
Activity Level: I like a good walk with sniffs out of doors but I am happy to curl up on the floor near you if you are working at a computer or watching a movie. Overall I am very calm for a 2 year old Lab.
Fun things I do: Sit next to you, put my chin on your leg, and look up into your eyes. Jump in the trunk of the car when you open it up because I think it's a pickup truck.
From Bob's foster dad: Bob has a new thing for under "fun things I do" ... this afternoon Ian and I took bob and geordie out to the play structure in the back yard and tied them up there with ropes to wander and sniff while we messed around. Next thing we know it, Bob climed up the ladder to one of the platforms on the play structure! The ladder isn't vertical but it's probably a 75 degree angle or something. We were pretty amazed.
Today Bob's been wanting to catch up on his belly-rub ration.
Socialization/who I currently live with: I currently live with 2 adults, an almost-7-year-old boy, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. So far I have ignored the cats (though I would like to go into the utility room to check out the litter boxes).I get along well with the resident 2 year old lab/boxer cross and 8 year old german shepherd.
Bob is attending Pet Haven's medium/large dog adoption events and his adoption fee is $320 (cash or check only) and includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
