Health:

Up to date on all vaccines, current rabies until 2011, spayed, micro-chipped, heartworm negative and currently on hw prevention. Had a full dental done with a baby tooth falling out and ears were treated for infection, but are cleared up now. Lacy does have luxating patellas in both knees, but it doesn’t seem to be causing her any pain. br />

Temperament:

A friendly, quiet, and affectionate girl. She’s crate trained, but is only used when she is fed a meal since she is food aggressive towards other dogs (not humans), and is able to be kept loose during the day and night so long as she has a comfy pillow to lay on. Lacy is shy towards strangers, but does warm up nicely if you are patient with her. She is a very laid back, not much of a toy player, kind of girl and gets along well with other dogs of different sizes and sexes (don’t know about cats). She does not enjoy going for walks on a leash so a fenced-in yard is a must for her to be able to run and play in. She’s not a barker and would be great for an apartment or condo dweller. She seems to do well around dog savvy children that are 8 years of age or older. Lacy is 87% housetrained and if kept on a regular schedule of being let outside, she’ll improve with time and patience.

Background:

She was surrender to rescue by her owner.

Special Consideration:

She would do well in a home where someone works part-time or from home such as myself. She would do fine with another laid back Japanese Chin or smaller breed dog or as an only dog since she loves to be the one getting all the attention. Lacy is a sweet and cuddly girl and would make a wonderful pet and companion for any loving family.
