Daisy-Adopted Maltese Mix Bettles, AK

Daisy and her brother Gus (not yet listed but pics are available) were left behind at a boarding facility when they were just a few months old. They are now ready for homes that can make a life long commitment to their well being. They are small breed, long hair, not sure of the mix, however they look to have mainly Maltese features, if there is a second breed in there I might guess Westie or some other kind of terrier. In any case, they are super adorable!!! The hair does get long so will need monthly grooming.Daisy currently weighs 12 lbs. Gus weighs about 10 lbs and they likely won't get much bigger. Daisy is so so sweet, and loves attention!  She is the perfect mix between playful and calm.  She is happy to fetch a ball or curl up by your feet.  She  lacks confidence in herself and as a result she can be timid in new surroundings and with new people, we are not sure if it is genetics or simply due to getting a late start on socialization.  However, she has been in foster care with us for some time and we have seen her make such great progress, she has 'come out of her shell' . Of course apon first meeting her she puts her shy face on, so will likely need an adjustment period to show her personality, she is such a sweetheart!  We are looking for adopter/s who will use positive reinforcement training, continue their socialization, and housetraining. Someone with patience and time.  Please keep in mind that with new experiences they may take a little more time to adjust than a regular pup. (For example: meeting new people, unfamiliar locations, large groups, car rides).Whomever puts in the time and patience with this little girl will have a wonderful companion!  We have noticed that Daisy is much more comfortable when Gus is near her, we thinks she gets some confidence from him, as he is more outgoing.  They can be adopted together, however we don't feel it is absolutely neccessary for the right home.  Please inquire with any questions. We would prefer a home with older children (8yrs+) A home visit is requested.
