Ellie American Bulldog Mix Cincinnati, OH

This is Ellie. Ellie is named after the shelter volunteer who put out the plea for help for someone to save this pretty girl. She was very very pregnant and the shelter she was at didn't want to deal with her or with puppies, so they planned to kill her. The shelter volunteer thought Ellie and her babies were worth saving, and we agreed. Ellie is in a wonderful foster home where she delivered her 13 puppies (!) on Mother's Day. 10 survived and they are weaned and will be ready for adoption right after July 4th!

Ellis is super sweet and submissive, eager to roll over for a belly rub. This doesn't appear to have been her first litter of puppies, but this is her last - we got her spayed so she can just be part of a family from now on. Ellie is now ready to be adopted. We are looking for a great family for her. No cats please - but calm dogs are just fine - she seems fine as long as there's not too much rough-housing. Ellie is a lady, after all, and that rough play just isn't for her.

NOTE: because it is possible that Ellie could have some pitbull in her (no one knows for sure, and since she came from a shelter, we didn't get any info on her mommy and daddy), she cannot be adopted to anyone living inside the Cincinnati city limits or any other area with laws prohibiting pit bulls and pit mixes. This is for Ellie's safety.
