Like all sidekicks, I'm just plain good company.  I like attention, and I also like my solitude.  I don't go looking for trouble but I'm no scaredy-cat either.  If you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life, look no further.


More About Bruiser:
Bruiser was rescued as a stray and has been at the shelter since April, 2010. It's pretty obvious this guy has been on the receiving end of more bruising than the giving end. If Bruiser had a theme song, it would be "Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places". One unfortunate encounter left Bruiser FIV+. This doesn't have to be a dealbreaker though. Bruiser can't give this to humans or non-feline animals. It does mean he needs to be the only cat in your home, or in a home with other FIV+ cats. Here's an idea, adopt one of Bruiser's roommates too!

Bruiser is affectionate and loves to lay in a lap and be held. He will purr and, if you get distracted, sometimes will give a little love bite. He is accustomed to ear cleaning and brushing so grooming him will be a breeze. This boy can be playful and loves interactive toys and catnip.

Cats diagnosed with FIV can lead long & healthy lives. Because CAT feels so strongly that they will remain healthy and wishes to provide a sense of support, a Wellness Certificate is issued upon adoption.

These certificates provide the following, free of charge, for one year after adoption:
Annual preventative health care.
Comprehensive health exam after 11 months.
Any veterinary (CAT Hospital) care required that is related to the cat's FIV status.
