Labrador Retriever/Poodle Mix: An adopted dog in Thief River Falls, MN

A sweeter dog would be hard to find. Pete is a neutered male Labradoodle, born 6/2009. He is a large dog with a huge heart. Pete came to us from a rescue group, who obtained him from a breeder that could no longer afford to feed his "stock". Pete was kept in an outdoor run with several other Labradoodles. He has always been with other dogs, and will likely do best in a home with other pets. Having never been in a house, we can't guarantee that Pete is house-trained. We can guarantee that he is smart & very trainable. He does well with children & cats. He is getting comfortable approaching people he doesn't know for affection. Pete is also getting used to walking on a leash. Although the theory behind Labradoodles is to have a dog who either doesn't shed, or one who sheds less than other dogs, we have found that Pete sheds as much as any other dog we have here at our shelter.
