Oreo was adopted 9/10!
- Age: approx. 3 years
- Weight: 75 lbs.
- Crate trained

- Good with cats: seems to be
- Good with children: yes, but could easily knock over a toddler
- Fenced yard required
- Training: Knows heel, sit and down. Probably ready for 'come' and 'stay'.
Oreo is a good boy who may have led a somewhat sheltered life till now. He's a bit suspicious of strangers, but once he makes friends, he shows his true, happy nature. He seems to like children, but at 80 lbs., a casual mis-step could easily knock over a toddler, so we'd like to see him adopted into a home with no real small tots.
Oreo loves the great outdoors, especially squirrel hunting. If you're tired of the squirrels raiding your bird feeder, Oreo would be happy to clear them out for you. Fortunately, his prey drive doesn't seem to extend to...

Fortunately, his prey drive doesn't seem to extend to cats. Oreo seems to be o.k. with the resident cat at his foster Mom's house, though she still supervises their encounters.
Adoption shows can be a challenge for any dog, but Oreo did great at his first one. He made friends with many people, loved the attendant beagles, and did just fine with the other dogs that traveled through his space. He also did o.k. on the car ride to and from the show.
Oreo is quiet at night, and is quite willing to sleep in the bedroom to protect his people from things that go bump in the night. He is also very good at announcing visitors at the door during the day.
Oreo really just wants to be someone's lap dog (did we mention he's 75 lbs.) Do you have a lap and a heart big enough for this lovable boy?
