Shar Pei Mix: An adopted dog in Albuquerque, NM

Romeo is probably a Shar Pei mix but sure looks like he could be a full-blooded Shar Pei. He is about 20" tall and perhaps a year and a half old. He is very sweet and alert and very attentive to Juliet (Juliet is looking for a home also, and they would like if at all possible to be adopted together). He has shown no aggression in the time we have had him, even though he is not yet neutered and there is another male dog at our house. His behavior inside and outside the house is perfect. He is a quiet dog and very affectionate. He is not interested in cats. He is very loving and tolerant around kids, even our daughter who tries to dress him and play house with him. He would do very well with kids, other animals, indoors and out. He does need to live in an active household to keep him happy. He is currently being leash trained - and is getting better by the day. Once you get moving, however, he figures it out and does great. ...
