1/7/11: Adopted!

UPDATE 12/18/10: Bubba is a 10 year old Basset Hound who was scooped up from a local pound by one of our volunteers. She found him to be irresistible - who wouldn't? These days, Bubba is relaxing in a temporary foster home.

Bubba's foster parents describe him as "surprisingly spry". He loves to go walking, sniffing all the great smells along the way. His foster family says Bubba is a mellow soul who "likes to lay around the house. He likes being close and being gently petted on his stomach..." Bubba also has a playful side about him though!. Forget about toys and bones, Bubba just wants to romp around with his people.

Bubba is a little unsure about other dogs. When dogs come up to his face, he snaps at them a bit so that they give him space. He does not go after dogs. He just doesn't want to play with them. Dogs that are mellow and will...

Dogs that are mellow and will keep to themselves would be okay in a home with Bubba; however a home without any dogs at all would be ideal. Bubba has met cats and seems to be fine with them.

Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals.
