Ocicat/Torbie Mix: An adopted cat in Yonkers, NY

The votes are in. The volunteers think Tootsie is an Ocicat so we're updating her page. Tootsie was guessed to be about 4 yr old at her checkup, but we think she is much younger because she acts like a 1 yr old. She is extremely playful. She entertains herself with her toy mouse - note her "tasting" or maybe cleaning it in the photo!! She will throw it up, chase it, and continue until she bats it under something from which she cannot extract it:-(

Tootsie was so named because we quickly noticed she has a foot fetish. You sit and she rubs against your footsies, so she was named Tootsie! Ironically, a search online about Ocicat personality, it was stated: "They will meet visitors at the door and follow them around rubbing their head on their shoe to try to get attention."

She is quite a talker when you first get home, get up in the morning, etc. She wants to know how you are and tell ...

Poor little Tootsie was left to live outside. She came upon the generosity of some very caring people who fed her, provided shelter, etc. until they could find someone to foster her. Tootsie now deserves a home of her own. She would probably do best as an only kitty--we think other animals treated her very poorly when she was outside. She now deserves to be queen of her castle.
