Beagle Mix: An adoptable dog in New York, NY

Hello- I'm Barrett Beagle. Apparently I didn't make the cut as a deer dog because I was left behind after hunting season was over. I was too shy and frightened to respond to offers of food and kindness so for 2 weeks I ran and hid when anyone tried to get near. Finally so exhausted, starved and cold, I found refuge in a warm shed full of hay and collapsed, happy to accept food and a pat on the head. I had heartworms but those have been treated and I'm doing fine. I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped I am about 5 years old and had some minor skin problems. Won't you let me be a part of your family? (Deer hunting was so hard!)
