Suzi Q Papillon & Parson Russell Terrier Mix Louisa, VA

Suzie Q is approximately 1 year old, weighs around 12 pounds, and is 100% Prima Donna. Needing to be the center of attention at all times, she can be found either sitting in her foster mom’s lap giving kisses and begging to be petted or nipping at her foster mom’s heels as she walks through the house. Wherever her foster mom is, it is certain that Suzie is not far from her side.

Suzie Q has the energy and attitude of both the Papillon and the Jack Russell Terrier breeds. Although she is loving and devoted, she is a young dog who needs to be taught proper manners. She likes to nip and jump up on people to get their attention. Although she does get along with other dogs to some extent, she insists on being the alpha female. In her foster home she is often found bossing around her foster mom’s standard poodle by barking and nipping at him, especially if he is trying to take the attention away from her. Luckily for Suzie, he is a big coward. However, due to this behavior, Suzie would do best in a home with no other dogs or a subservient, mellow dog. Also, although her foster mom is working on her nipping and jumping, we believe she would do best in a home without small children.

Although she may have some slight behavioral issues, Suzie Q is house/crate trained, rides nicely in the car, and knows some basic commands. She is a highly energetic and athletic little girl who needs firm, consistent guidance and training. If you are looking for a constant companion, Suzie Q may be the right dog for you.

Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.
