American Shorthair/Tabby - White Mix: An adoptable cat in Gainesville, FL

UPDATE 6/28/2011: Maizey was adopted 6 months ago but is returning to rescue. Her owner feels that Maizey isn't happy living with 6 other cats. She wants to be queen of her castle. Maizey isn't fighting, just hissing and vocalizing her dislike for a few of the others and her owner wants everyone to live in harmony. Maizey has been a wonderful companion, faithful litter box user, and completely healthy since adoption. Last time it took Maizey over a year to be adopted. Such an easy going soul. Please consider adopting this quiet and easy cat. Maizey was rescued from a shelter. She was relinquished by her previous owner who could no longer keep her. Maizey is about 5-6 years old and she is a sweet heart. Maizey is a large tabby striped with white, short haired, spayed female. She loves attention and affection and she is a social eater (she loves to eat when she gets human attention). Maizey was at the shelter for over a month and then developed a little sneeze so they said she was sick and should be euthanized. Maizey is not sick. She had a mild viral respiratory infection which has resolved on its own and she is still sweeter than ever. She would make a wonderful companion and excellent lap warmer!
