Poor Jasper was stuck in a rural WV shelter - it was not a good spot for him, as he LOVES to snuggle in nice warm blankets. Also, at some point before being picked up stray, it looks like Jasper was hit by a car when he was just a puppy. As a result, his hip was dislocated and the knee on his other leg was fractured. Jasper will need surgery to put his hip back in his joint and will need joint medication for the rest of his life. Jasper won't be a running or agility partner, as a result of his injury, but he WILL be a great walking companion and he loves to play in the yard.
What Jasper would REALLY love is a nice soft bed in a nice warm forever home of his own! He's GREAT with other dogs, incredibly friendly and sweet. He has not been cat tested, but he could be. Jasper is eager to make friends with people, his tail wags a mile a minute when he sees you! But he's not the run up and jump on you type of friendly... He's the walk up and ask for pets type! :) Jasper is the perfect age, young enough that most of his life is ahead of him, but old enough to pay attention and learn quickly! He's a quiet, loving boy who deserves a great family. Won't you give Jasper the warmth and cuddles he craves??
