Meet Oscar - ADOPTED
Oscar is a 1½-year-old neutered male who is currently up-to-date on all his shots. He is a little overweight at 20 lbs (he reminds us of a cute little bear-cub). Because Oscar is so young, he has lots of energy and loves to play. He keeps himself busy by digging in the doggie toybox and finding the toy of choice. He would love to find a home with a fenced-in yard so he can run off some of that young doggie energy. Oscar just LOVES the snow too and the 2 feet that we received hasn't bothered him at all.
Oscar was "top dog" at his previous home, and would flourish with some basic obedience training. He's such a smart dog and is quickly learning his manners. He aleady has learned "off" (no jumping) and has learned to sit and wait for petting or a belly rub - which is his favorite! If you keep Oscar on a potty schedule that seems to work best for him. He doesn't know to go to the door yet, but we continue to work on that. Oscar is crate-trained and sleeps quietly in his crate during the night.
If you want a young dog to take on walks, run around in the yard with and relax in the evening, then Oscar's your loveable little guy!
Because we are a regional organization with limited volunteers, you must be a resident of Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, or Washington DC to adopt from us.
This dog is located in a private foster home. Please complete an Adoption Application if you are interested in this dog.
