Meet Finley

Meet Finley! He’s a fantastic little guy, in search of a home to call his own.  His foster mom tells us this about him: “Finley is completely house broken, crate-trained, knows basic obedience commands (sit, stay, come, wait), and is friendly too . He's a beautiful dog, but no, it doesn’t stop there-he’s smart as well! He is affectionate with his humans, and enjoys being a lap dog and will give you plenty of kisses, if you let him. He sleeps quietly through the night in his bed next to his Foster Mom and never makes a peep.

Finley would do well in a home with another friendly dog, but he would also be fine as an only dog, as long as he receives plenty of love and affection! He loves to play with toys, play fetch and chew on bones.

He loves walks, chasing rabbits, and running squirrels up the trees in the backyard. He runs races against other Corgis on Corgi Fun Day (and even won a couple), and riding in the car is a great adventure for him.  He would do great with a family that was on the go! He went on a few camping trips with his foster family and he loves the great outdoors.

And he does all this on three legs.  Finley was hit by a car, and lost a leg, but he doesn’t allow it to limit him from doing all the things a dog should enjoy.  He’s healthy, he’s happy, he’s not looking for one ounce of sympathy.  What he’s looking for is a house to call his own, where he can run and play, and do all the things every energetic two year old dog wants to do.

Finley is neutered, micro-chipped, has all vaccines, is both house and crate trained. He is fine with cats and older well behaved children. He will be adopted in the Metro St. Louis Area only. No exceptions. We do not adopt to homes with small children or electronic fences. A securely fenced yard will give Finley the freedom to chase squirrels and his toys.
