Sassy Rabbit Mini Lop & Lionhead Mix Waldwick, NJ

Hi, I'm Sassy, one of the bunnies from "The Upstate Rescue." I'm happy to finally be indoors in a safe, loving foster home. We were all recently rescued from a bad situation. We were used as "breeder rabbits" in a meat farm operation. When the guy breeding us "got sick" of us, he wanted to sell us for meat too. Luckily, a wonderful Hug-a-Bunny foster mom found us just in time! We were all rescued and are so happy to be in a wonderful foster home! All 5 of us are already starting to use our litterboxes (which is amazing after living in tiny cages in our own filth for so long) and we're getting spayed and neutered so we're ready for our "forever home" as soon as it comes along! After all we've been through, it's amazing that we're so trusting! We are all being kissed and loved daily, which is a stark contrast from living outdoors in horrible conditions. We're all so happy now!


I got my name since I'm full of sass and spunk. I was the only one out of the 5 of us who was living indoors. I was not part of the breeding program, but was a pet of one of the family members there. I was given to one of the family members after my original owner no longer wanted me. My past owner was afraid that I would be cooked up for dinner one night soon, so she gave me up too. I am a bit protective in my cage, but I'm a very sweet lady out of the cage. I'm an interesting mix of breeds- a mini-lop and a lionhead! My personality is just as unique as my look!!! I don't really like other rabbits so would be best as an only bunny. I am already spayed and I'm starting to use my litterbox. I'm looking for a very loving and patient home who will love me for who I am!
