Meet Rex

Arrival story: Rex is currently at a boarding kennel. The owners are an elderly couple and the wife was severely injured in a car accident and is in coma. Rex is in need of a foster home as his time at the kennel is almost up!

Approximate age / weight: Rex is about 3 years old and 110 lbs.Personality: "Rex" is very affectionate and beautiful! He is tall, lanky and can fly like the wind. He has a slightly deformed paw, but that doesn’t seem to slow him down at all. The kennel owner where Rex is boarding says Rex has been great with the staff and they have all become attached to him. The kennel owner is also a dog trainer/behaviorist and has indicated that Rex does have issues with other dogs, primarily small ones. He believes this is primarily predatory aggression. The owners started private lessons with the trainer, but never completed them. Rex had bonded with another older dog who passed on, so, given the right circumstance, he could be placed with another dog. We assume Rex will not do well with small dogs or cats, given his prey drive.
Forever home: Rex would love a fenced yard to run in and would do best with no other pets. Contact: loridames@comcast.net Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html.
