REGIS - 6 Year Old, Male

Regis is a big wonderful German Shepherd who is very people oriented and friendly. Regis has come into our owner referral program, because unfortunately his owner has developed severe allergies recently to dog and cat hair. They have given him a good home for 6 years and are trying to do the right thing for him by finding him a good second home.
Regis is housebroken, crate trained and knows his basic commands. Regis likes to play and will fetch a ball or tug on the toy for as long as someone wants to give him the attention. He knows all his basic commands, but like all GSDs can be a little pushy and needs an occasional reminder on his leash. He has lived with children from 7 years of age and up and is good with the children.

• GSGSR does not adopt outside the immediate New Jersey area. We may consider adoption locations bordering New Jersey and parts of Staten Island.
  
• We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the dog going to its new home.
  
• The age requirement for adoption is 25 to 70 years old.
  
• We require all adopters attend professional training with their adopted dog.
  
• We are an all volunteer organization and every effort is made to proceed as efficiently as possible with an application. As with all rescues, we do require veterinary references if you have a pet, personal reference, a phone interview and home visit. This process has been created to insure that we match each applicant with the best possible dog.
