Meet Maddy - Adopted

Arrival story: Maddy's family could no longer keep her, so they asked Waggin' Tails to help.
Approximate age / weight: 7.5 years old, 50 lbs.
Personality: Gorgeous Maddy is a fun-loving girl just full of personality! She's great with other medium/large dogs and loves everyone she meets. She's housetrained and knows many commands. She has a lot of energy, but she settles down nicely after she is exercised. Maddy is not a fan of the crate and is well behaved in the house.
Maddy is a beautiful dog, with a black shiny coat and long ears. People remark on how striking she is.

Forever home: Maddy would love nothing more than to be a member of an active family where she'll get plenty of exercise and love.  In return, she'll be your loyal and faithful companion.  She'd be thrilled to join you on your jogs or long walks.
Maddy is a smarty pants and gets bored easily, so exercise and mental stimulation are a must for this beautiful girl.  Activities/toys like Kongs and interactive toys are great for dogs like Maddy. She would love to learn tricks and maybe even some backyard agility.
Though Maddy has not been formally trained to hunt,  she is no exception to her breed and enjoys the thrill of the hunt for critters in the backyard of her foster home, so a physical fence is best for this sporty girl.  No electric fences, please. Also, Maddy needs a home without cats.
Maddy has a blast playing with the dogs at dog daycare as well as with the dogs in her foster home, so having a medium/large dog pal in her forever home is a bonus. After a long walk, run or playtime, Maddy is content to take a nap or chew on a yummy bone.
Our goal is to find a special home where Maddy will be a beloved member of the family above all else.  So, if you're looking for a fun-loving companion and exercise buddy, Maddy is the one for you!

Pre-Adoption Application:
To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The pre-adoption application can be downloaded from our website - www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information:
Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs (9 years +) , $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue does not have a shelter facility. All of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website at www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted. This application does not imply an obligation to adopt by the applicant or by the rescue group.
Our volunteers have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries are the quickest way to obtain information about a dog.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
