This beauty is Mizzy, a 2 year old German Shepherd Dog mix (maybe with a dash of husky, due to her thick coat.) Mizzy found herself homeless after her previous owners surrendered her to the Brooklyn Shelter saying they had too many pets. We tend to believe this because Mizzy craves loves and attention when she is with you (like she was never given any in her previous home.) Those of you that are familiar with the Shepherd breed know they are devoted to their handlers/owners, so having no attention would be devastating to them. Mizzy returns any love given to her 200% and would be a totally devoted companion to you. Mizzy knows the command Sit and I'm sure would excel with a simple obedience class because she is eager to please you. She is currently boarding at a private kennel and shares her play space with 3 male shepherds who she loves to rough house and simply hang out with. She gets along with females too, but prefers...

Mizzy found herself homeless after her previous owners surrendered her to the Brooklyn Shelter saying they had too many pets. She gets along with females too, but prefers males as companions. She has no food guarding issues, and will actually eat food out of the same bowl they do. Mizzy's previous family had children so she has been socialized with them and enjoys their company. She is a bit chubby right now at about 70-75 pounds, so kids that are dog savvy and sturdy would be the best match in case she bumped them while playing. Mizzy loves everyone she meets, and is truly a happy go lucky girl. She would just thrive with an active loving family who will commit to her forever this time. If she has captured your heart like she did mine, please visit our website at www.WagginTrainRescue.org to fill our one of our online applications making it out to Katya. Mizzy has been spayed, vaccinated for rabies, distemper and bordetella, is heartworm negative and microchipped. She's just waiting for her chance!
