Labrador Retriever/Poodle Mix: A dog on hold in Murrysville, PA

He is an F1 or F2 Labradoodle. This means he sheds and is not typically Hypoallergenic.

Rusty's perfect home will ideally have someone who is home 80% of the day. A family with kids and another dog that is larger, and non aggressive. Rusty is slightly dominant in play but is not aggressive that i can tell. He sometimes tries to prove hes not the medium size dog he is, and this sometimes gets him in trouble! But once he adjusts to the situation, he seems to be fine.
However, Rusty will take longer than normal to adjust! If you arent willing to commit to at least a 2 months adjustment period for Rust...

As a requirement for adopting Rusty, you must agree to and complete a training class to be started within 2-6 weeks of his adoption.


Rusty NEEDS a job, or something that will keep him active for a good portion of the day, even thats just running around a fenced in yard with kids and another dog.
He's very VERY V E R Y smart, and he will occasionally need a firm "pack leader" for a human to remind him, he's not da owner!! :) He likes attention, but is content to just go crash in the corner and be left alone, (again the poodle coming out).

He will need a fenced in yard to run in and burn off some of his energy. He's absolutely gorgeous and his pictures don't do him fair justice at all!

I'm sorry but we do not adopt out of state and prefer to adopt in the SW PA area whenever possible so we may conduct home visits and keep up on how our adopted labbies are doing! Please do not apply if you are not in SW PA.There are no exceptions at this time.
