Meet Jetta

Jetta is one special little girl who has truly defied all the odds stacked against her. She was born in an auto junkyard and was found covered in oil, grease, and other car fluids. She had severe eye infections and upper respiratory infection. Her eye infection was so bad that eventually she needed eye surgery to remove the scar tissue covering her eye. She is now good as new. (Thank you Dr. Kay! We love you!) She is completely deaf. This comes in handy when a loud noise scares the other cats! She just looks around wondering why everyone is flipping out! We were told several times that she would not make it, but she did! She also has a mild form of cerebellar hypoplasia. This causes a slight tilt to her head and a slight wobble when she walks. This is more obvious when she's tired, but doesn't slow her down at all. She likes to be held on your left shoulder. If you mess up and put her on the right, she WILL correct you! She will most likely always be small. She will be one in September 2009 and is still only a little over five pounds. Her absolute favorite toy is the crinkle ball. She will fight off anyone for a crinkle ball then carry it in her mouth like a trophy! She sounds like a mess, but is actually a wonderful little girl. She makes her foster family smile every day of her life.
04/21/10 Update: Jetta is still a favorite. She loves being our adoption ambassador at the Janesville Petco! She likes the dogs there, doens't even care if the kiss her. Her best friend is our little Chestnut. Jetta is now 7 pounds! This appears to be her max. She looks awesome and is a joy to have around.
If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: http://www.commcat.org . Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the cats that interest you.

All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if it’s medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home.

Our adoption fees are $50 for adult cats, $85 for kittens under one year, and double the love with two adult cats for $85. All cats are spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, tested for FIV and FeLV (feline leukemia), and microchipped.
