Meet Rooney

Meet Rooney! Rooney is a wonderful senior collie/sheltie boy, who was given a new lease on life. Poor Rooney had just a day before this sweet, lovable boy was to be killed in a gas chamber in a rural shelter. His only crime was that he was a senior, terribly neglected, starving boy with huge tumors hanging from his belly.

Rooney was originally an unnamed, pitiful dog that was listed as a senior girl. The dog, named Millie, was picked up by a volunteer and taken immediately to a wonderful vet clinic who recognized the will to live and zest for life that still existed in this skinny collie. After an examination, the vet exclaimed, "Millie has a willie" and was immediately renamed Rooney. Consultations happened and a decision was made to give this boy a chance at a happy life, however long it might be. Happily, Rooney, has had his surgery and he is ready for adoption with a clean bill of health. Rooney is housebroken, good with dogs and all things living. He is a joy to have in the house and is grateful for the love and good food provided by his foster family. We, at Canine Collective, are proud to offer for adoption, this proud survivor and very sweet, senior collie boy.

His adoption fee is $175 and covers the cost of the dogs spay or neuter, vaccines, preventative medications, microchip and 30 day free trial pet insurance.

We are a 501c3 non profit organization and your adoption fee is a tax deductible contribution.
