Mya Calico Mix Ottawa, ON

Aug 2011 - Mya was adopted by her foster mum who was leaving the city and couldn't bear to part with her. We hope they will all be happy in their new home.





Mya is a friendly domestic cat who was abandoned in a barn. Her life could not have been very easy, bullied by other cats, hiding from predators and suffering hunger, cold and parasites.

When taken from the barn she was pregnant and hungry because she could not fight for the small amount of food. Two weeks after she was taken to safety she delivered two little kittens.

Her happiness at being indoors once more was very apparent. Although her room was a small bathroom, she would play with her toys, sleep soundly, eat heartily, groom herself and welcome any visitors with much purring and head butting. Clearly she thought her ordeal was over and that she had found a home.

She has been tested for FIV and leukemia and was given a clena bill of health. .

She is a very nice gentle cat who has been through a great deal and is very deserving of a wonderful home.
