Health: Excellent, up to date on all shots, micro chipped, heart worm negative.

Temperament: Shy at first when he meets people, but warms up to you once he feels secure and gets to know his surroundings. Not aggressive with other dogs and children. Loves to play with my three chins and would be a great companion to another dog. Was not aggressive around my neighbor's cats. Has a very sweet nature. Loves to be near you and lays close by. When he wants attention he will put his paws on your leg and paw you to be held.

Background: Pip was found as a stray wondering around in Oklahoma and rescued by a very kind lady. He had a very bad case of case of mange, fleas, and eye problem. She took him to her vet and had him neutered, tested, treated for mange, and got all his shots. But PIP had an enlarged right eye which was found to have glaucoma. There were no vets in her area who knew how to treat his condition so she called JCCare to turn him in. Pip had to have his right eye removed and his left eye is being treated for glaucoma. Pip has healed nicely and has adapted well to having vision in one eye. He gets around as if nothing has happened to him. He is house broken, but has an occasional accident he isn't let out. He does go out through a doggy door.

He sleeps in bed, but does not jump up because of his one eye vision. He nuzzles up to you to sleep and when he wants to go out at night he will kiss you or move around the bed. Pip loves to go for walks and car rides. Once in the back seat of the car, he sits down and then lays down when the car moves. He will make someone a wonderful pet and companion, Because he is shy and it will take a while to get to know you, he needs a home with lots of love and patience. His coat is coming in beautiful. He is starting to let his personality come out. Pip would love to have another pet to play with or be an only dog of the house.
