Meet Biscuit

If you are looking for the quintessential ACD - Biscuit is your guy!

Biscuit is your typical, fun-loving, go-getter ACD. He loves to run and roughhouse with the other cattle dogs here at TVCDR. If he isn't romping around with the other dogs, he enjoys being your best buddy. He isn't too much of a tough-guy though because he enjoys being doted on. He'll happily roll over for a good session of petting and being loved on.

He is leash trained but is learning to walk better on lead without tugging. He has very good recall and is crate trained. We have not had him in the house but the fact that he will not soil his crate is a good indication that he is probably housebroken. He passes all temperament tests with flying colors. We think is going to make someone a fine companion.

Biscuit is also a quick learner that could easily be trained for canine performance events or farm/ranch work. He has proven to be a bit too interested (and not in the best way) in livestock so a watchful eye and control will be needed to keep both Biscuit and your livestock happy and healthy.

At around 4 years old, Biscuit is beyond all the puppy crazies and young adult shenanigans. He is confident and content.

Background: We rescued Biscuit from a Kentucky animal shelter. He had been purchased along with some cattle from his original owner. His second owner discovered Biscuit would chase cattle and turned him in to the county animal control.
