Meet Cricket

Hello, I'm Cricket~

I'm so lucky, I can't even believe it. I was brought into the Humane Society to be euthanized because my owner was getting married to a man who had a dog that didn't get along with me. The guy wasn't fond of cats and my owner chose love of an idiot over her love for me and I was brought in to be put down.

But Carol was at the Humane Society that day and couldn't bear to have me put down. She was talking to me and gave me a pet on the head. This was about the same time she was cursing the union of my owner and her fiance'.

She noticed that I was front paw declawed and figured that since I had to sacrifice my nails to live in a home, that I deserved a second chance at life. Carol's not fond of declawing but realizes that many people prefer a declawed kitty, so she took me hoping to spare a kitten from being declawed someday by adopting me to the family with nice furniture instead. Her reasons for taking me were two-fold.

So, now ...... I'M ALIVE! And I'm living at her rescue with lots of other cats who I tolerate despite the fact that I used to be an only cat. I'm just happy that I didn't have to be put to sleep! I have a lot of life left in me. I'm only about 6 years old for goodness sake!

If you like a big boy who is a lover and digs sitting in the sink, I'm your man! Come meet me!
