Fresca Chocolate Labrador Retriever & Brittany Spaniel Mix Spokane Valley, WA

I am an ~1 to 1.5 year old female who weighs ~62#. My coat is short, soft, glossy and the color of dark chocolate, although some people look at me and say I have a silver sheen to my coat as well. Ive got fuzzy ears and pretty golden eyes. I could be a mix of Chocolate Lab, Weimaraner and Brittany Spaniel, but no one really knows for sure. What they do say is that I am unique and beautiful. Now, isnt that nice?

I was very shy and frightened in the shelter. Now that I am coming out of my shell, it is clear that I am a sweet, active girl who loves people and other dogs. I dont chase cats or cars, and I like to stick close to my person when I'm off leash. I LOVE to play fetch and will chase a ball for as long as you want me too. I also love running with my foster family and really enjoy being able to run flat out with another dog. In fact, Im pretty darn fast!

In the house, Im nice and quiet and like hanging out with my foster mom and dog buddies. I am totally housetrained and will either use the dog door or let you know when I need to go out. I am shy and unsure of new people for a little while, but then Im OK, especially if they offer treats and let me approach at my own pace. My foster mom is introducing me to new people and places so that I can become more confident and less shy, and Ive already made lots of progress! I think I would do best in a relatively quiet home, however, at least at first.

I love riding in the car and would be happy to go just about anywhere with you. I am very appropriate with other dogs and love having a doggy buddy to be with and play with when my people arent home. My foster mom is working with me on my manners, like walking nicely on leash, coming when called, sitting and waiting for permission to eat or go in and out of doors, and leaving things alone that she doesnt want me messing with. I like to work and am easy to train.

I am very affectionate, and appreciate cuddle time with my person. Belly rubs are my all time favorite!
