Meet Cocoa -Memorial to follow-

It is with great sadness to have to tell everyone, but we have now lost our precious Cocoa, as we had no choice but to let her go.  She was not doing well after being hospitalized and then she was very, very weak and not eating for them. We talked the doctor into let us bring her home to try so that we could at least get her to eat something and then maybe we could buy some more time with her.  She only lasted a few days though and then we finally had no choice but to make the decision to let her go. She was going downhill very fast from being so weak and having trouble breathing.  She was so very special and a great corgi girl.  We are completely heartbroken, sad and just way beyond any words.  But, we knew that she was so weak, we had no other choice.  She was one in a million, truly a wonderful girl and we are so glad that she at least had us to care for her for these 4 1/2 years, after her owners just didn't want her, didn't love her and didn't care about her one little bit.  Thank you so much to all of you who helped us with donations just recently with her care.  You are greatly appreciated for caring about our wonderful, very special, Cocoa corgi girl.  Any donations you can help us with are still needed as her hospital vet costs have just about drained our funds.

Donations Badly Needed:  Cocoa was not feeling well and was not eating.  We had no choice but to take her to the vet.  We were told that she could have Addisons disease but it actually turns out, she has pancreatitis.  She has not eaten anything for quite a long period of time and had been hospitalized over the Thanksgiving holiday.  On Friday, when we went to see her, she had not eaten and was weak, and very unhappy, so we asked to take her home so that we could hopefully make her more comfortable and get her to eat a little.  Please donate to help with her care as the costs of this bill has been very expensive and we only have limited funds available because donations have just not been coming in to help us with the care of our rescue dogs.  Whatever you can give, please donate it to help with her care.  She deserves to have us help her to live, but we can't do it without your help.  Please donate today by mail, paypal or call Cabarrus Animal Hospital at:  704-786-6102.

Please help CCR by becoming a sponsor or donating to help with Cocoa's care. She requires special medicines and food to support her health.

Thank you to the angels who have made donations for Cocoa. She is a great gal who is doing well for her 14 years of age.

Hi There,

My name is Cocoa and I am a 14 year old welsh corgi who has been here in rescue for over 3 years now. I really expected to find a forever home long ago, but due to a lot of medical issues over the past few years, I guess I am going to be a life timer here in rescue. Awhile ago, my owners divorced and no one wanted me so I came here to rescue and then it was discovered that my owners had never provided the routine vet needs for my teeth.

Because my previous owners had refused/neglected to do the recommended dentals for my overall health, I have now suffered renal damage and I will eventually die from renal failure. CCR has done multiple dentals for me to try and prevent body organ damage. For now, I am on a special diet and medicine, both of which help to support my kidneys.

I am a very sweet and loving girl, and like most corgi's, I am still quite active with a high drive for herding. I like to be the boss and I keep my crew in order. I also love to give sweet corgi kisses and I enjoy having my belly rubbed. I really adore the foster family that I am living with, and they keep telling me that I will be very loved until my last days.

Will you please help sponsor my monthly medical needs? I need on-going monthly sponsors and any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can now sponsor the care of any of our available dogs quickly and easily by making a donation through PayPal with or without a PayPal account. Charlotte Cocker Rescue of NC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that relies on private donations and adoption fees to support our rescue efforts. Donations are tax deductible.
