Mitchell Labrador Retriever Mix Olean, NY

Greetings! My name is Mitchell (sometimes the workers call me Mitch). I have spent more than two years of my life at the shelter, and I'm quite sick of this lifestyle. The volunteers and workers treat me wonderfully, and give me lots of love, but I have an incredible personality that I want to share with the world. I have an extremely high willing-to-please attitude, and I love to give bear hugs (that is when I wrap my front paws around you and look at you with my loving brown eyes). I have the most beautiful brown eyes, and when the volunteers walk me they sing, "You are my, brown-eyed dog," to the rhythm of Van Morrison's "Brown-Eyed Girl." I love to go for walks and hikes way out back behind the pond. I would love an owner who likes to go hiking and would take me with him/her. I probably would need a leash just because after spending two years of your life in a kennel, anyone would take every opportunity possible to roam around the world. If I sound like your kind of doggy, don't hesitate to come meet me. You won't be disappointed! P.S. I don't like hunting season. When I hear gunshots I duck and cover like a person who is hiding from a tornado.
