Meet Ruby

Hello, my name is Ruby. I guess they named me that because my coat is so red in color. I am not sure of my breeding. The Ark thinks I may have some Retriever in me. I am a very sweet girl. I weigh about 40 lbs. Mr. Jim, an Ark volunteer found me and brought me to The Ark. The Ark is always so full of dogs. I am just happy they had a pen for me. I just do not understand why a family gets a dog and doesn't take care of it. I am pretty sure I had a family. I wonder what happened to them? Do you think they wonder what happened to me? Probably not! I want a loving family that will keep me close and safe at home. Will that family be yours? When you come to The Ark, will you ask to see Ruby? That’s me.

Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. Fenced yard required. The Ark recognizes that heavy-coated breeds like to be outside. Be sure they receive daily attention and affection.
