Energy Level scale 1-9 (sleep energetic): 4
Intelligence scale 1-9 (silly-genius): 7
Friendliness scale 1-9 (aggressive-affectionate): 9
Playfulness scale 1-9 (not playful-very playful): 5
Disposition scale 1-9 (anxious-calm): 6- out in new places, 2 in the house. He is a very chill boy!!
Favorite food/toy/treats: he loves ALL toys!!!! He is not allowed to have stuffed toys or squeaky toys though, because he tries to eat them once he chews them up. Squeaky things also encourage his prey drive. Rawhides, pig ears and things of that nature are very dangerous for dogs to have, so he does not get anything along those lines either. He gets kongs, nyla bones, balls, rubber bones or toys and loves them all.
Must be in a home that has the following (ex: someone home a lot, another dog, no kids): he needs to be in a home with someone that will be stern with him and someone who understands the fact that he is a hunter
Medical issues: none
Needs work on: Jack will always need reminders on his leash skills when in new places. He walks amazing on leash around the neighborhood, but anytime we go somewhere new he needs a reminder. He isnt a dog that loves to go to new places; he would rather stay around his home area where he is familiar.

Hello? Hey! Hi? Hola! Bonjour? Ehem, Ehem!
Did any of those get your attention? For some reason I am still in my foster home. I really didnt think it would take me this long to find a forever family, I tried all the languages I know, I hope one of them worked to get your attention. Now that I have it, let me tell you some things about me. I am a big teddy bear; my foster mom actually calls me a polar bear to be exact. I love to cuddle and lounge around the house. Some of my favorite things to do are, watch my fur siblings play, chew on a good bone, nap, eat, chase squirrels, play fetch, get a belly rub, lay my head in someones lap (or my body if they allow it), and occasionally look out the window to spy on the neighborhood. Im a pretty easy dude to get along with. I am very laid back and love to just chill with my family. I will run around and play in the yard for a little while each day, but Im not a hyper boy. I am not the kind of dog that needs a walk every day.
Now, let me brag a little, I have the most amazing house manners of any dog!! I know to sit and wait before entering or exiting a door and for my food, toys, or treats. I know to stay out of the kitchen and off of the furniture. I know how to play fetch, sit, lie down, drop it, and leave it. I also know go to bed but I dont have to be told that one often, I choose my bedtime and its usually by 9:00 every evening. I dont need to be crated; I will never have an accident in the house, or chew anything Im not supposed to. I dont try to steal any food while my family eats, and Im great at sharing my food with my fur siblings. I take treats easy when asked, and will catch them in the air when thrown. Thats a lot to brag about, huh!!?? With all of that, who cares if I like to chase little dogs, or cats! Mom is going to start testing me with small dogs in the house. I used to live with some small dogs, so she knows I am good with them at heart, but when I see them out on a walk, they look so much like a cat, squirrel, or rabbit, so I want to chase them. With all of my wonderful qualities, I just dont understand why my family hasnt come for me yet. I promise I will love you and give you lots of polar bear hugs and kisses!! Please consider adopting me and put my name on your application!
~Happy Jack~ (they didnt add the happy for no reason)
9/2010 Hi everyone, Im Happy Jack, you can call me Jack for short though. Im at my new foster home and Im settling in nicely! When I first got here, I had to get refreshed on my manners. You see I was in boarding for 42 days, so I kind of forgot some of them. Im doing great though, and Im taking direction very well from my foster parents. I have met my fur siblings, a female boxer mix, and a male boxer. I have done great with both of them, and love to play. The female is still a little scared of me because Im so much bigger than she is, but I just want to play with her. Mom says she will come around the more she gets used to me. Im doing great with my obedience. I know how to sit, lie down, come, and wait. Im working on stay, but that is harder because I want to be wherever my foster mom is, but Ill get it with time. I like to chase small animals, and since Im so big, sometimes I pull really hard on the leash to get to them. I have made tons of improvement though and mom says I am like a different dog now on leash! She has been teaching me to heal, and to refocus me when I see something I want to go see or chase. Mom thinks that maybe when I was younger I wasnt walked a lot, so walks are very stimulating for me. She thinks the more and more I walk, the better Ill get, and the more Ill relax. I will need someone that can be stern with me, and make me walk nicely, because I will use my size to try and get what I want. If you can show me that you are my leader though, I will never let you down, and will look to you for everything! I am great with everyone, big or small. But I do get excited when I first meet people, and I may sometimes knock little kids over but Im not mean to the. My mom makes me lay down so that I calm down then I dont accidentally knock them over. I love to play with any toy I can find. I will sit and play with a toy by myself for a good solid hour then, I like to nap for a while. Im a very relaxed dog in the house and just enjoy chilling out with my family. I love to go out and see things too, but again, you just have to tell me what is expected so I dont try to pull you all over the place. Mom says my house manners are perfect. I will go in a crate if you want, but I can be left uncrated and wont mess with a thing. I am perfectly house trained, and will never go in the house. I know that Im not allowed to go in the kitchen, and if there is a second where I forget, mom just says out and I get right out! I also sit and wait patiently before going in or out of doors, and I will also sit and wait until my mom says I can eat my food. She says that is polite, and that way kids or anyone can feed me and I will be patient until Im told I can go to my bowl and eat. Im really a great boy, but like most boxers, I need someone to show me that they are my leader! Could you be my leader?? Please put an application in with my name on it, and maybe we can meet or you can find out more information about me. You wont be disappointed, I make everyone Happy, and thats why they call me Happy Jack! 3-30-08 Meet Jack!!
