Update from foster mom: Bethany is 7 years old and was a Mill Mom. She is a puppy mill survivor and has been spayed. She is a very beautiful Pom with a full coat . She uses the doggy door, eats well and is a nice dog. She does bark a little when a stranger comes, its feeding time but she doesn't just bark for attention. She really is not used to a lot of attention. She does like to lay near me and have her head scratched. She is not used to being up on furniture and sleeps on a pillow on the floor.

Bethany's one flaw which doesn't seem to be a problem at your house is that she's afraid of men. We've had her a year and she still goes about 6 feet around my husband. She will come inside when he calls her and she doesn't bite or anything when he needs to hold her but she doesn't like it. My husband has tried his best to make friends with her but she's not having it. It hurts his feelings because our Pom, Shadow, worships him! This one bad trait has kept Bethany from getting a good home for quite awhile as people want a dog that likes all family members. We have our paws crossed there is a single woman or pair of women out there who would like a gorgeous little cream puff to love forever!

She is active and is definitely a woman's dog. She wants to be by me all the time and husband needs to be in the doghouse in her opinion! Bethany is what I would call a low maintenance dog. She doesn't jump up on furniture, she uses doggie door and if she doesn't have access to doggie door she waits to be taken out. She is a really a nice dog. She does look forward to meal times and dances when she sees me getting her food ready. She loves to run and play with the other Pom who is 5 yrs old but doesnt want to play rough. Bethany weighs about 8 pounds and has been spayed. Her coat is very thick and pretty. If I can answer any other questions, just mail in!*********Bethany is doing good. She continues to use the doggy door, sleeps in the bedroom and follows me everywhere. She was a little shy about being picked up but is improving all the time. SAD: Bethany has convinced her loving foster parents that she just cannot trust a human male. She just cannot take it, she will be looking for a mama that will understand.
