Chester is a "bonus" dog. One of our volunteers went to a central Texas shelter to pick up two Black & Tan Coonhounds, and, while he was there, was asked whether he'd like to check out a Walker Hound that had been there for a month. We didn't have room, but took him anyway, with the help of Texas Alaskan Malamute Rescue, which kept him for the first few weeks.
Chester arrived very depressed, but soon perked up and began to want to play with the Malamutes. Since coming to Etosha he has a new best buddy, a Black & Tan Coonhound.
Chester has one of the sweetest dispositions you'll find. He loves everyone, human or dog (cats unknown), and is less noisy than the typical Coonhound. Chester is heartworm negative, neutered, and current on all vaccinations.
