Meet Forrest&Ricochet

Est DOB 09/07

We are two special guys that have been diagnosed by two vets with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. That is a big term but we are pretty normal guys in every other way but one. You can see another cat with our condition here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJQG6V1MOVY. Our condition is a disorder found in cats and dogs in which the cerebellum is not completely mature at birth and affects our coordination. Cerebellar hypoplasia causes jerky movements, tremors and generally uncoordinated motion. We often fall down and have trouble walking. Tremors can increase when we are excited and subside when at ease. Our mother was either vaccinated while we were in the womb or she was exposed to the disease. Please don’t feel sorry for us we are fine and would love to go to a home together!

Forest aka Forest Gump-Black and White

Ricochet – Solid Black-

We are not graceful but fun guys. We are laid back and like to sleep on your lap. Ricochet is a "headbutt-er" for you cat lovers out there, he loves attention! Forrest is a nice gentle little soul.

Our favorite toys are each other and laser lights. We are also a big fan of paper, boxes and cattails! We love to wrestle with bigger cats too.

Although we don’t look like normal kittens, we are extremely well adjusted and well developed for our condition. One vet said our condition could even get better as we grow up. Cerebellar Hypoplasia is not contagious. We are neutered, Leuk/AIDS tested, have Rabies and booster shots.

You can see more pictures of my brother by going to www.onepetatatime.org and looking for Ricochet.
