Border Collie Mix: An adopted dog in Mentor, OH

"CHARGER"
Charger is a beautiful 15 month old (dob 10/06) black and grey male border collie. He was purchased as a puppy by someone in the military who then got stationed over-seas. A member of the family took Charger but they kept him outside and with four children under the age of five decided he would do better in a home that could give him more attention. Charger is an awesome dog with a big heart and expressive light brown eyes. He loves kids, loves to play ball, knows sit and down (although stay needs some work!). He needs work walking on a leash calmly but is extremely smart and will learn quickly - he is starting training classes on 1/27/08 donated by Lydia McCarthy of Playful Pooches and Parents. Charger has a lot of energy but is a very good dog in the house - just wants to play ball, alot! He loves to run which is expected for his breed, so he would love a home with a fenced yard. As...

As with most border collies, Charger would be an AWESOME agility dog! Charger gets along fine with other dogs and would really love cats to play with him - chasing is great fun, although we are hoping training will help curtail his zeal for chasing!
