Just hearing the word "tumor" in relation to your pet's health can create all kinds of unsettling thoughts, but it doesn't always indicate a grim prognosis.
In the case of mast cell tumors in dogs, about half the cases are benign -- and even if the tumor is malignant, most grades of the cancer can be treated successfully.
