Note from Our Founder
Dear Friends,
Gandhi said, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." The public outrage over the animal cruelty cases that have come to light over the last year show that we are making progress. As our standards for animal care increase, we are going to need more foster and adoptive homes for all types of animals, even farm animals. If your yard is large enough, consider adopting a lawn mower or pest exterminator: a goat, a sheep or a chicken. They await you on Petfinder.
Thank you for supporting us in our mission to end the euthanasia of adoptable pets.

Happy Tail:
This Little Piggy
Submitted by Laura Melone, Lake Villa, Ill.:
We decided on getting our first pet for our family and decided on a guinea pig. I researched on Petfinder.com where I came across a slew of piggies at the Critter Corral guinea pig rescue. I contacted the owner, Rose, and she helped us decide on Carrot for our family with a six-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter. Carrot is such a wonderful addition to our family! Our kids love to play with Carrot, and Carrot loves the snuggles...and the fresh veggies.
Carrot was adopted from Critter Corral in Steger, Ill.
